When I was shooting my old bow back in August I had the same problem. I took it down to the pro shop to have the slide replaced. I remember asking if there was anything I could do to keep it from happening again. I was told that the best thing to do is keep the slide as clean as possible and to NOT use any type of oil or lubrication. They said the lubricant would collect more dust and dirt and the problem wouldn' t go away for long.
