Sorry I was never taught to clear a misfire for at least 1 minute.
You do know how an H&R ejects the shell right?
Had I ejected the shell straight away it may have well exploded in my face.

I had the same problem with the same brand of shells in 270 caliber. These high dollar shells aren't worth a darn. Out of eight shots fired, six failed to fire and the other two shot nice bucks. I went back to Remington and have had no problems. It's not the rifle, it's the bullet. I checked the primer strike and it matched the shells that fired and that is what lead me to believe that the shells were bad.
I tend to agree, however the SST is always the cheapest sabot around my parts.
