It happens every year or so, people mistaken for game animals, I don't understand how it happens.

I wonder how many thought they were shooting a buck vs. a doe? I would suspect does/cows look more like people and a big bull elk or big buck deer.

Either way, don't shoot if you can't clearly know what you're shooting. Blaze Orange should help, but that alone shouldn't be the deciding factor, you can't assume every hunter or human just out on his farm or in the woods hiking is wearing blaze orange.
