I would say the wounds were too high to leave a huge blood trail. If he died within 50 yards the broadhead did its' job. I have had to trail deer that left a speck of blood every 10 yards so doesn't sound like the blood trail was THAT bad. Glad you got him...lets see some pics of his rack!
