I agree with Cougar , coyotes kill lots of game animals , and pepoles pets , I ve seen videos of them killing healthy deer , and the bull elk mentioned earlyer shows they dont just kill small game , they allso destroy crops , the reason farmers what them gone . Coyotes will destroy every mellon in a feild by just taking one bite out of each . They are widespread and have large populations . They are smart and allert animals . Its hard to put a dent in their population let alone get their numbers down to " resonable" . I know in Florida and Georgia and Tennesee were I hunt their numbers are out of control . They are not so bad yet in Pa in the area where I hunt . I will shoot anyone of them that gives me a chance . In all the years I' ve hunted I have seen very few not because they arnt there , but because they are very weary .
