When deer and turkey are on the ground together, there is generally no problem. On the other hand, I have seen and heard of many instances that deer were spooked by turkeys flying to or from the roost. It is the sudden commotion of the flapping of the wings that startles the deer. Generally when they come off the roost. It may startle them for the moment and they may run off a ways, but it will not compromise the ground and all will be good when they realize what has caused the commotion.
