Not really, we have grizzlys here too. That is why I always pack a 44 mag. If you get charged by a grizz, that 270 rifle isnt going to do you much good, you probably wont have time to get a shot off with a rifle. I got charged and attacked by a black bear earlier this year and didnt even have time to get my 44 out of the holster.
