The trick now is to get him perforated. Seeing/calling mature bob's around here is pretty difficult. I usually only get 5 or so to come in each season, and out of those, only one will be what I'd call an elder statesman, and the rest will be juveniles/young adults.
If you DO get to hole punch him this winter, but don't want to stuff him for yourself, I'd recommend taking care when you skin it (or deliver it whole) and make sure you have tiny eye and ear holes, as well as a good full tail and clean lips, and skin out the feet and claws. I get more than double price when I sell bobcat hides with the paws and claws intact, especially mature males all primed out.
