As far as mechanics go, I have built numerous automobile motors so I am comfortable working with my hands, but I can't seem to find a shop manual for this specific motor and since I have never worked on an outboard I feel more comfortable letting a reputable shop do the work. All motors are basically the same and once you have torn down one, all others come pretty easy. However, outboards are completely new to me and I don't care to make my first one a learning process when I can't even find a rebuild manual for it.
