Today was the kind of day you look up into the beautiful sky and thank the Lord himself for all his grandeur and wonderful friends to enjoy it with. 2 great friends of mine (a father/son duo) met me at my lake in west TN after sunrise and by the time we took a break for lunch and finally called it a day around 3-3:30 we boated over 60 bass with numerous 2-3#ers and nearly 10 that were 4-nearly 6#s. The day broke cloudy with a rainshower coming in around lunch. So the topwater bite was strong all morning and without steady sun the temperature was wonderful. We even took an hour or so to dunk little jigs for some crappie and bream action. The best bass of the day (5# 11oz) was caught by buds dad and I caught 4 over 4#s via BPS digital scale. The fish in my lake weathered the record floods of earlier this year pretty good. Numbers are down some, but the quality fish are still there and ALL of the fish we caught are in extremely healthy, hard fighting, "pull like freight train" condition.

now it's time to start getting the place ready for hunting season,
HL

The "guidein" and pic taking was done by my bud. That's his father and I holding a few of our better ones for the camera.
