.300 Win. Mag. Ideal finished rifle weight...
Just looking for opinions on this.....
If you were building an "all around" North American rifle in .300 Win. Mag., what would you folks like the UNSCOPED rifle to weigh?
Consider a combination of deer hunting out of a box stand. Still hunting throught timber for deer, or elk. ect.
Not really expecting to be climbing up and down mountains where an ultra lightweight rifle would be needed.
I'm in the very last stages of my Hill Country Rifle being finished, and they recently completed a setup just like mine that wound up tipping the scales at 7lbs. 10oz. unscoped with no sling or ammo.
Would you folks prefer "your" .300 Winny to be lighter? Heavier?
All opinions welcomed.........
