Ok. That makes sense. What I do is practice with xtp's out to 150 yards. And I also shoot ground hogs with them at that distance. But I use the Barnes for 200-225 yard practice. And I use them to harvest deer now. I also would like to know what the new T/C shockwaves with the blue plastic tip would do? The package says bonded but not all copper.
They (t/c with blue tip) would cost me $1.13 per shot with sabot. Where the Barnes (T-ez) cost me $1.48 per shot with sabot's.
I was hoping to find a cheaper compromise with the deep curl.
But I have a feeling when hunting my confidence will be with Barnes...lol

You can't go wrong with a Barnes and like mulie mentioned you can always buy a cheaper bullet of the same weight and impact point to practice with if need be!Ray
