With the exception of .40/200 grain XTP's in my .45, all I've used for hunting with my fast twist barrels have been 250 or 300 grain Deep Curls. I just can't see the need for anything else at my 175 yard maximum range. They perform on a par with the best premium bullets (Barnes, Nosler Partitions, etc.) and better than any non-premium. Even the .40/200 XTPs will likely be replaced with 40/180 DC's next season.
