First, I would make sure my insurance policy would cover me if something happened. Don't just take the agents word for it, get it in writing and look at you policy. I would also want to feel comfortable that the other hunters are safe, ethical and do not do things that can create a wildfire.

Is there any demand for hay bales in your area? If so, how about planting some alfalfa or clover on part of it and have a farmer pay for the number of bales? This could help cover some of your expenses.

Sorry, I have no suggestions as to lease rates for hunting.
