Your boy will really enjoy the youth model wolverine. it is built like a tank with a great recoil pad,stock and green mountain barrel. other features i really like are the trigger and the double safety.later on when he grows into a young adult, you can purchase a full size stock.the rifle on the gunsamerica site also has everything you need to get him started. i bought a full sized LOP stock and shoot ours with conicals myself
