My youngest is 13 y/o and small for his age. He wants to muzzleloader hunt with his older brother an myself this year for deer (September). I have just started poking around trying to find a inexpensize youth muzzleloader for him and haven't been to sucessful. I would like to find a used one and have been looking at gunbroker.com, but haven't found anything. Anyone have a suggestion in the $150 range. I have 2 knight wolverines (.50 and .54). I have thought about buying another one if I could find a youth stock. I would really like to get a .45 cal for him if I could, but he can shoot the .50 without much problem.
http://www.gunsamerica.com/981372366...VALUE_PACK.htm this is the best youth model muzzleloader on the market. oldenglish outfitters had them for $149.00 but ran out of them. they still have the full size LOP model for $149.00, but you would need to find a youth stock for it. my 9 year old shoots the youth model .50 cal with 65 gr 777 and a .250 gr bullet with no problems. only other option is to buy a new knight little horn and there a lot more money.. the wolf is a neat lil rifle but the stock was not designed for lil people..
