I don't know what anyone else takes up the tree with them, but when I'm in the stand for 12 hours there's going to be food, water, coffee, and probably a couple of calls. I can move around and dig in my pockets each time I want a bite to eat or drink, or I can have it right there.
I have to agree with most of that. although I can't sit in a tree for 12 hours, my back won't allow it. Unload your pockets, get comfortable, and focus on what your doing.
