Well if you are just looking at seeing deer it sounds good, however I would have to know a lot more befroe I could say whether you may be able to stick one from it. Remember the wind and where the deer are entering the field, I am sure that since this is on an Island that water sources for the deer are not a rarity, so I would not count on the watering hole to really draw them in.
