I do have some old rods, but I wouldn't fish them. They didn't use the best glues in those days like they have now.

I fish with a Mike Brooks replica of the old Dickerson rod. You can't tell it from the original, but it's made with modern epoxies. Much stronger, but has the same action.

Just like the modern sidelock replicas are made with better steels.
