Hornady screwed up when they dropped the .50 caliber 410 grain flat point Great Plains bullet and kept the 385 grain hollow point. The heavier flat point was a great bullet. I put a lot of deer down with them and they never failed me. I won't use the 385 hollow point on deer.
I totally agree semi..seems that soft leaded hollow point traps tissue and tears the bullet up rather than expanding.i always used the maxi balls in the .54 renegade..Ray
