MD, The problems with the great plains and the PB's at close range are the same. all lead lighter weight bullet with a hollow point.IMHO if they both had a metplate instead of a hollow point they would work a whole lot better.the heavier conicals like the bullshops and no excuse do not explode at close range, they hit flatten out some and keep going..those big slow conicals are as effective as any premium priced bullet you can buy over the counter today. they just don't do it at 1,900 ft per second lol.
