A buddy of mine owns a gun store in PA and I buy from him at his cost. I want to say 2 years ago I paid about $325 for a new Springfield Armory USGI 1911. I think thats about the least expensive 1911 I ever purchased. I cannot imagine buying a new 1911 for $200. How could a manufacturer make a profit, even if they were building them in South America?
