A friend came over and told my dad he had a hi point 45 for sale. not my gun of choice, but hey it is a gun and would make a good gun to use for say fishing or hunting where if it gets dropped and sctrached I could care less.

I called the guy told him I was home and if he wanted to bring it by I would make him a offer, given their like 150 to 200 new, it was used and my dad said rusty, I figured 75 maybe 100 bucks, worst case something I can hide shoudl someone come collectly guns for his lordship obama.

He came over and the rust was not rust but looked like someone had slightly over sprayed the front 2 inchs with a brownish paint and tried to remove it, it was around the sights and cracks and on the out side of the barrel, I racked the slide and it rubbed off the barrel so not rust. I said most I could see doing is 75 to 100, he dam near slapped me and all but ripped it out of my hands
He said ohh I know what it is worth the guy I got it from showed me the price in a book, I said well how much did you give for it.... He said 300 I said their like 175, they sell them up the street all day long for that. He said ohh no not this one. I did not have the heart to tell the old man he got (You certainly did! JW!).

This is the third person with a cheapo gun trying to get top dollar or higher then new for one.

He told me ohh I want to know my gun is going to knock them down. I said I want to know mine will fire and showed him my new glock 17, then he gave me the the 45 puts them down, I said yeap my glock 45 is in the house.
