Could someone please explain to me how a bolt that could use a little polishing all of a sudden lead to inferior products?? I have one of the older LRH's, and I would in no way call it an inferior product??
Anytime you have a problem with a product you should contact the mfr. So I am asking the OP-did you call Knight rifles yet and ask them about your bolt??
If you are not happy with the bolt then I personally believe they will make it right.
Personally I like Knight rifles. However I do not think they will be able to sell very many $800 MZ's. Especially with all the discounted ones that guys bought after they went belly up the first time.
I know I have seen $2,000 and $3,000 custom rifles that did not have jeweled bolts. But if you think a MZ should have a jeweled bolt then have yours jeweled. Personally I can't see the big deal about this bolt. If you are not happy with it then contact Knight and "have it your way".
Some of the comments here are way off base, just because a bolt that probably works perfectly well needs some polishing??
Or am I assuming yuou wanted the bolt to be machined instead of cast?? For $800?? Tom.
