I bought one last year for my Winchester Mod 70 in a 30-06. It was a finished laminated stock. Nice looking, but I could never get it to fit right. Floor plate wouldn't open, once I got that to work ok, the bolt couldn't open. I put the old stock back on.
I've heard this from a few guys including my gunsmith.That's why i'll let him do it. He's charging $175 to bed the action & fit the stock and touch-up any finish that he's got to remove to fit the barrel.........IMO it's worth it cause i've never done it before.
