Not everyone loses draw length when switching from shooting compound bows to trad bows. My two compound bows have 30" draws and my both of my Blacktails are 30" draws also. The reason they are both the same is because using a Scott release with my compound bows, I anchored in the corner of my mouth and with both of my recurves, I still anchor in the corner of my mouth with my middle finger.
