Default RE: Make us all look bad,why don' t you.

I do agree that the man bubba74701 mentioned doesn' t really need to be caring a bow around shooting at live animals (or dead ones for that matter). No doubt as the topic evolves it is obvious that most of you have experience folks like this in the deer woods.
I recall a day of hunting on National forest land where two men were sitting approximately 50 yrds apart, one on each side of the deer trail facing one another and they were hunting with shot guns. A really small doe came out and they started shooting it. The doe was almost directly in between them. Althought it wasn' t sensible at all to be shooting in each others direction it was also a bucks only hunt. Stupid...very. But would I throw rocks at them from an elevated level as I chastised them for their actions. NO. They had guns...what good would rocks do. I just called the Game Warden. I don' t know if they caught them but they knew which direction they went in.

Regardless, as I read the posts here I see that in this thread many of you deemed the guy as a complete IDIOT. Well I agree. However, maybe we should just shoot at him at around 50 yrds and see if we can get a tuff of white hair. Or the next time we see someone in the woods like this we should wrestle them down and break all their arrows. Or maybe run over their bow with a truck. Or maybe just kick their ass. Or maybe do our duty as sportsman and let them know as Arthur P did that they are responsible for the image that all sportsman should try to protect. I have learned one thing in my short 32 yrs of life and that is influance is more powerful than one may think. We can talk all we want about how dumb this guy is for shooting at deer at 65 yrds with a bow or shooting deer with a .22 hornet but until we really start putting these people in their place the effect will be null. How do I know? Many years ago, I did something very similar to what the man did that bubba spoke of. My father led me in the right direction. Now I only shoot once. If I miss that is because I didn' t wait long enough or I didn' t wait for the right shot or maybe I waited to long but one thing is for certain...the deer damn sure wasn' t at 65 yrds.

Just a thought.
