another thought jeep, look into a min-spec no freebore 270 weatherby, guys get some amazing MV's with those no free-bore Bee's, and since you've only got a 24" barrel you won't lose as much MV with the smaller case.

Okay I'll check that route out too. Weatherby brass is harder to get and more pricey tho, that's also why I was leaning towards the RUM.
26" barrel too...won't make much difference but maybe...
