The HPH-24 is fine with the 250gr but its a fairly long sabot.
One of the reason the petals are long on that sabot is so that they wil catch the air right out of the muzzle, open very rapidly and allow the bullet to leave the sabot very quickly. The 24 does not go down range as far as others.
