IMHO Thompson Center scopes are excellent scopes for the money. I have several, not only on ML's, but on centerfire rifles as well. I have not owned a 1X, but the 1.5X5X32's, fixed 4X, and 3X9X40's that I have, perform very well. If you are looking for a lower power, compact scope, the 1.5X5X32, or fixed 4X, are perfect. I have taken several deer with these scope in all conditions, and they have performed flawlessly. T/C scopes are warrantied for life. I did have a problem with parrallax with one, I called T/C, mailed it in, and like Cayugad, had a new one within a week, no questions asked. I would not hesitate to buy another, in fact I just put a T/C 3X9X40 on my new T/C Triumph.
