If you are shooting a compound, its is of no real concern. If you are shooting trad, you want a lot of foc, over 11% and heavy arrow, 600+ grain arrows, respective to draw weight. I hunt with nothing but my homemade long bows. I shot at least 60+ lbs @ 28" with alluminum arrows with weight string and weighted inserts. I have even taken 300+lb hogs with 45lb recurves with no problem (550 grain arrows). Sometimes when I build a bow for someone, I will test it out on hogs (ive got lots of hogs on my land). The bow buyer like to know that what they are buying is able to kill something like a hog.
