I've tossed around the same idea for my 535. Everybody says that the scope isn't the greatest. I figured that much, but I haven't heard anyone say that the scope was bad. As long as it holds its zero it would be a place to start. The crappy part of the whole deal is that you can probably get the barrel with a scope at Wally World cheaper than you'll find it anywhere else without a scope.
