One thing I was worried about when I unpacked it was the noise of the strap that houses the brake release cable. It is under a velcro cover. It makes noise when you handle the harness when it is not on. As soon as you put it on and tighten everything up, it quiets right down. All the buckles get covered by an elastic sleeve that keeps them in place and quiet. The other good ting about it is you can repack the rope if you ever fall and need to use it. All other harnesses are done after one fall. Not that I plan on falling multiple times, LOL!

When I was younger I didn't think anything would ever happen to me. As I am gerting older, I think about what could happen more. I just like the idea of being able to lower myself out of the tree if I ever fall.

I really like this harness. It is a little pricey, but worth my safety.
Thanks for the reply. I plan to add one by next hunting season. As to the price, when compared to the vest style harnesses it is not that much more.
