I passed on a fork horn this morning and on a doe walking out to the truck... but, there is a good reason... I have only
one tag and the season last till Dec. 13 + if I am forced to shoot a doe I want to do that with the MK-85. I am hunting with an Elite right now (our regular rifle season) - the Elite is a dedicated 'buck' gun.
See if I shoot to soon then I have to start on the 'honey-do' list and it is really long....
Dang Mike Im in the same boat as you, I've passed on a Big 6pt with No Brow Tines with a 18"++ Spread and a few small Bucks sp Far, Plus some Does around 100lbs. It's Big or nothing for me, Doe's have to be 120++Lbs and Bucks at least a Big 8.
The more you pass the better chances you have at seeing the one you want, so Hold Out.
Our Gun Season ends the 12th and then 9 Days of Late ML. But I also could'nt stand just one Buck Tag, We get 2 Buck, and up to 5 Doe Tags, so the Pressure's not so bad for me.
Stick with it and you'll get the (One) that counts.
