NO! you are not defeating the purpose! The carbon suites are designed to adsorb the odor from your body, not what' s on the OUTSIDE of the suit.
The biggest problem I see with anyone trying to remain scent free is most hunters never go all the way. They will wash and store their clothes, equipment, etc. MOST do not complete the job by keeping your scent free products from contaminants like; gasoline, camp fires, breakfast, trucks, etc. etc. etc.
If you want to remain scent free, store your gear in storage bags, put them on after you get out of your truck and take them off and put them back in the storage bags before you get back into your truck and contaminate them!
