If your shot was broadside or 1/4ing away at all, and your shot was anywhere in the ribs, you probably caught the liver at least, in which case he will be dead within an hour.
I killed this deer last month. arrow went in between the last 2 rear ribs and came out between the 4th and 5th rib from the rear on the other side. caught both lungs and the liver. found him stone dead 60 yds from the shot.
