I've only done this once. A decent 8 point was at a full run going straight away from me. So I yelled "Buck!" as loud as I could. HE stopped, and turned slightly and looked over his shoulder. Gave me a good shot. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't make a sound. But I had nothing to lose in that situation.
