For many young hunters or those just starting out i would just like to recommend keeping a Journal from day to day in the woods.
I have only Been hunting for 9 years now and thinking back on my different hunts i find it hard to recall alot of things i saw and details.
Reading through my journal the other day I couldent believe how much stuff i had forgot even from the past year. Most hunters would agree that jotting down a few notes after a hunt will go a long way someday. And its always nice reading a parents hunting journal and hearing stories from 30 years ago. Basically to all you novice and seasoned hunters alike, try out a journal for a year and see how you like it. Include where you hunted. with who, winds, times, anything you want. trust me its definitely worth it.
