The 240 XTP has probably harvested more deer than any other bullet in the US, but I would sugget to you to look very hard at the Speer Gold Dot/Deep Curl .452/250 grain bullet. It is a bonded a bullet... it can not come apart as the XTP can (doesn't very often but can separate the lead from the copper) and has controlled expansion - so it acts somewhat like a Nosler Partition at about a 1/3 of the price.

Here you can see that some XTP's separated - not often but they can and the bad part is you never know when they might.
