My dad ran across a very good deal on a new CVA Kodiak. He is an open sight, close range type of deer hunter. He's always shot a CVA .45 Kentucky rifle that he built from a kit back when I was learning to walk. In the past, he always grumbled about inlines and pellets, etc until he shot my Optima a few years back. He claims that the fiber optics sights are handy for bad eyes, and they would just not look right on his old rifle

...long story short, he's been trying to find an inexpensive inline.
Anything I should tell him about the Kodiak to help him make up his mind? Remember, he's wanting a rifle for close ranges (50y or less) and he doesn't need or want anything too fancy. A crappy trigger will be an improvement from the rifle he is shooting now!
Thanks for any info
