Whiz - you are killing me!
Dogs are in far better shape than I. I spend all summer exercising and using pen raised to train hunting scenerios.
And we can trade Whiz ~ Grouse hunting had been real good and only to get better as well as tumberdoodles.
So keep an eye on them ~ sure want a Merriam.

I know you can't make it up this year most likely, but do make plans for next fall for sure....if it's upland birds...although turkey hunting is great in the fall, just different tactics.
If you want to come up in the spring for turkey, just come on up. I've got a guy that I used to work with who's family has a large ranch up in the timber east of here with lots of turkeys!
