Bullet shopping today and they didn't have my Hornady xtp 44cal 300gr in stock. I grabbed the 45 cal 230gr xtp instead. Now that I look at them they look much shorter than I have been shooting.

Looking for opinions on whether they will group well and get the job done on whitetails or are they too short/light? Setup is a TC Blackdiamond, crush rib sabots, t7 lose powder and #22 mag caps. Increased velocity/range or unstable bullet? Worth giving them a go at the range or look elsewhere?
