Obviously most here have never been in the sagebrush hunting elk!!! or mulies....... in most cases if U don't shoot 400/600yds U aint gonna get no game 30.06 with a 150 grain will still do the job at that distance, with close to 1400ftlbs of energy!!!!
sir,my 721 flat out roocks!ive hit out to 500yrds and have killed out to 400 with it.maybe you just havent found a load or cant shoot.i use mine down around burns in the high desert and never felt undergunned.i dont need the newest faastest 30cal out there,or the newest trick super rifle.i suggest you try new loads or go get 300ultra or 338.anytime ya wanna go shoot the desert just let me know.no disrespect but your very wrong
