I use only 2 pellets of pyrodex (100 grains). I've never shot past 100 yards. I don't trust a magnum charge in my CVA - I'm sticking with 100 grains & 100 yards max. Those are my personal limits - they work for me with great results. Others may push the envelope farther - that's fine with me, it's just not necessary for me. Think about it - 100 yards is the length of a football field. Do you really need to shoot farther than that? If so , fine, but I hunt FL swamps - 100 would be long for my needs. My point was that Powerbelts ( in my world anyway) are very accurate, hold together well & do a lot of damage. I'm one of those guys who prefers a heavy, large bullet over a smaller, faster bullet.
