John ... like Woodtick said, that is a really wonderful thing your doing to help that man. I wish both of you the best of luck..

I agree that the muzzleloader will be an advantage. Although I have a friend that hunts Dane Country. He purchased a couple years back, a Remington Shotgun with a expensive rifled slug barrel for it. And he mounted a 4x40mm scope on it. You would not believe the groups he shoots with these EXPENSIVE slugs he shoots. I was amazed when he was showing me the gun and the targets he has shot. He claimed his doe last year was over 90 yards walking when he blasted her.
