I talked to some guys from Georgia who where up hunting here last week.
They said that the farm where they were hunting had a lot of bears according to the farmer. He owns a small plane and saw 9 bears in his corn field at one time.
When I went to hand in the premolars from my bear the lady at the Natural Resourses office verified the story and said that the farmer had been there complaining of the bears causing a lot of damage. They' re thick here for sure.
Talked to the guy at the butcher shop and he claims there' s a 500 pounder roamin just North of here. I also found a very large log turned over behind the house with some very large claw marks on it and there was an active hornet nest in the end of the log where some big bear had been trying to dig away at it.
