Last year I planted winter rye grass at my house and had deer eating in my yard throughout the winter.

I have never seen deer in my neighborhood before in the 5 years I have lived there. I see them quite frequently in near by areas on the way home. To the best of my knowledge they were drawn to the grass.

You have to keep rye grass mowed or the deer will not eat it once it gets to tall. But having this experience I will try it on my deer lease this season. It' s cheap and easy to plant.

Also going to plant a small area of secret spot tomorrow. Never used it before so only time will tell.
