His last price of $450 is close to $100 less than what a new GP caplock would cost. The modifications look really well done to me. I find it very attractive. If it were a flintlock I would be thinking about it myself. You can get a used .50 GP caplock cheaper than that (maybe $300 to $350) if you wait around and shop the forum classifieds. But I don't think you'll find a unique piece like that. I think it's a fair price.
