Unfair, not hardly. thing is that you're going into this thinking it's going to be so easy and you're going to find out otherwise. Put bait out, and sit and wait, and chances are that you'll not see a thing, so you'll leave the bait out hoping that the coyotes will find it and they eventually will, so you'll put some more out and sit and wiat, and nothing will come, and once again, when you're gone, they'll show up and eat what you left...and eventually you'll figure out that they usually show up at night, while you're snug as a bug in a rug, sleeping...

In short, bait does not gaurantee success......nothing wrong with it and you may find you patience tested to the extreme. good luck!
