Good question. I don't know about their numbers, but I was for it because it's something hunters elsewhere had the luxury or privilege to hunt. I also hear that they are very good eatin'.... hence the term "Ribeye from the sky". Actually the more common term is "
Rib eye in the sky"... referring to it's good eating.
Also, I found a link that's from a hunter's point of view why he hunts them. Talks about how big they are and saw in another post elsewhere about how hard they are to bring down. I guess that makes sense when they are as tall as a man. LOL!
